Concrete Crushing Operation

Crushing concrete is often necessary when a building or pavement is removed. Breaking up a concrete slab or crushing large pieces of concrete is not a complex process, but it is labour-intensive. Once broken down, crushed concrete can serve a variety of future purposes including a foundation or backfill for a retaining wall.

In concrete crushing operation, the feeder or screens separate large boulders from finer materials that do not require primary crushing, thus reducing the load to the primary crusher. After primary crushing, the materials will be conveyed to the vibrating screen for sizing. The stone that is too large to pass through the top deck of the screen is processed in the secondary crusher.
